Have we forgotten.

Track 2 from the cd Keeping the Faith asks the question, for those who believe and pray, but have found themselves further away from the point they wanted to be, perhaps even to their own surprise.  Have we forgotten?

In music you seldom get to see or feel a song at work but when you do it is a blessing and a priveledge.

Have we forgotten. Track 2 from the cd.

Sunday morning at the Vic  QVM. 7.30 am. Sitting in the spot, so what song to start the day? No body around yet, the tradies catchin their last call, coffee and smoke. They started at 5.30 am to set up, not including driving to the market. Not a soul in site. I start to play and notice a young woman sitting at one of the tables, off to the right. She was totally absorbed in her laptop. So l start the verse then chorus into the solo and upon the return to verse as,  everybody seeking shelter, shelter from their storm, all of their lives , but it is this final battle for which we were born, open your eyes. I noticed the woman close her laptop and sit quietly, she had her back turned to me so l could not see her face. When l finished she picked up her laptop and came over to me and she burst into tears and said that song has changed my life forever. I had felt this huge energy during the song and all that came out was are you going to be ok ?    Yes,      thankyou, yes as she smiled , wiped her tears , and walked away. Thankyou God. If nothing else had happened in my music life that 10 minutes would have sufficed. Amen.
