Hi and welcome from Sean Hale. This is my first post for this site. So the purpose is to promote and support my 2004 cd Keeping the Faith. All downloads are free. No sign up. The start of the music journey has to begin with the song, I Believe. I had not switched to full acoustic and full original music yet. A good mate deanhaitanimusic.com * cool stuff * Dean Haitani and I were at the Whittlesea pub, one of our regulars said Sean play an original. I almost played it but really struggled and fought with myself over it. The wrong place and the wrong time, as it turns out. I believe , no pun intended that the song said no, not now, there is more that is needed. Our mates could see I was short circuiting and yelled Copperhead Road. Big turning point . Took 6 months off to set a direction for the original music. I had sold my amps and electrics, but there was an old Maton acoustic tucked in the cupboard. Also courtesy of deanhaitanimusic.com One day I came across it and as I played, this song, My Lords Prayer came out. First the progression and then into the words ? What words ? Light-bulb moment . When I am writing a song what ever words I use first to sing it in performance, my brain ? yes I have one, will be stuck with it . I realised the song I Believe would not let me sing any words that night. When I started to play the intro to My Lords Prayer once again my brain , yes it’s still there, asked for verse 1 please ? Our Father who art in Heaven. Such a new musical and spiritual journey that you have to ask yourself who is driving this car ? I do believe ! My Lords Prayer as the given song made it very clear on the direction for music and life for me. It has profoundly changed and helped my life and brought comfort to many others as well.
